Finding Time to Meditate

Finding Time to Meditate

Many people practice meditation because of dissatisfaction with life due to unhappiness, lack of success or sickness. However, there are many people who ignore meditation. They have some reasons as bellow:

I am too busy.
Meditation makes them waste time.

I am too young.
Meditation is for old people only.

I am too old.
Meditation is for young people only.

Life is too short.
Meditation makes them get bored.

Life is too long.
Meditation can be practiced anytime later.

Thus, people try to find happiness outside such as fishing, shopping, traveling, or gambling. Happiness outside us can lead to frustration and expectations. Our emotions affect our health. For example, some people get trouble about deadline from work or due dates from school. The situation can lead to stress from the deadlines and meditation can help them release the stress. Meditation can increase calm and positive thinking.

There are two sides of the deadline’s situations. I would like to share my experiences to deal with the deadline. My experiences are my lessons. Studying in the United States is not easy especially for an International student like me. English is not my native language. I learn English as I learn a puzzle game. I have to match a word with its meaning.

Everyone has a goal in life although our goals are different. My goal is not complicated. I just follow my dreams to connect with the world. Tomorrow, the world will change. We are all in the same world. The world should be peaceful. Peace should be our inner silence. Inner silence should be from meditation. Thus, the world should know how to meditate.

Life is patient experiences.. Meditation helps me to overcome tough times. This is one of my experiences to deal with tough times.

How I deal with the deadlines’ situation

When I did not  meditate
The deadline was coming. What should I do?

I tried to finish up an assignment. My head was full. I struggled in words. I could not create wonderful sentences although I thought they were not hard. My brain did not work well. I was anxious. I was worried about the deadline. I looked at a clock many times a day. I could not eat well, I could not enjoy talking as I did before, and I could not sleep because I felt headache. I got sick.

When I meditated

The deadline was coming. What should I do?

I had spent times to take a break. I walked and enjoyed scenery in a backyard. I came back to a room and sit meditate. I had positive thinking about the deadline. I accepted the deadline situation. I totally accepted it, and I did an assignment carefully. I organized which one should do first and which one should do later. I knew I did my best. I would agree the result of the assignment. I finished my assignment with bright ideas.
